This document is an electronic record in terms of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder as applicable. This electronic record is generated by a computer system and does not require any physical or digital signatures.

Terms of use

1. 1

   Eligibility: playnex is intended for users aged 18 and above. Indian data protection law treats anyone under 18 as a child, so if you are under 18 you may use the Platform only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, which we will seek before processing your data. Tournaments with a points entry fee are restricted to users 18 and above.

   Accurate information: You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information during and after registration, and you are responsible for all acts done through your registered account.

   No online money gaming: playnex hosts skill-based competitions and is not an online money game, a betting, wagering or gambling service. You cannot deposit money, stake money, or wager on any outcome anywhere on the Platform, and we do not offer, promote or advertise any online money game.

   Virtual points: Points earned on playnex are virtual items with no real-world monetary value. They cannot be purchased with money, cannot be converted to or withdrawn as money, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be forfeited on a violation of these Terms. Points can be redeemed only for products in the playnex Marketplace.

   Refunds: Tournament entry fees (paid in points) are automatically refunded as points if a tournament is cancelled, or if you are removed from a tournament before it begins. Entry fees are not refunded once you have been eliminated or have finished out of the prize places. For marketplace order issues, contact support within 7 days of delivery.

   Tournament formats: Tournaments run in one of two formats, and each tournament page states which before you register. In battle royale, all entrants in a lobby play the same matches and are ranked on a cumulative points table set by the organiser; a single defeat does not eliminate you. In single elimination, entrants are paired head to head and one defeat ends your run. The scoring values, tiebreaker order, number of matches and any qualification cut are published on the tournament page before registration opens, and are not changed once a tournament has started.

   Organiser-hosted tournaments: Some tournaments on playnex are created and run by independent organisers — clubs, colleges and esports organisations — rather than by playnex. The tournament page names the organiser. That organiser sets the rules, the scoring, the schedule and the prize pool for their event, approves and removes entrants, and makes the decisions during it, including forfeits, disqualifications and disputed results. playnex provides the platform, records what was done and by whom, and enforces these Terms and our fair-play rules across the Platform; playnex does not adjudicate the sporting decisions of an organiser's event. Complaints about an organiser's conduct can be raised with us at support@playnex.in and we may suspend an organiser's access to the Platform.

   Fair play: Cheating, hacks, exploits, match fixing, multiple accounts for unfair advantage, harassment, impersonation, and submitting false results or edited screenshots are strictly prohibited and lead to suspension or permanent termination. Where a tournament is run by an organiser, that organiser may also disqualify entrants from their event under their own published rules; Platform-level suspension remains a playnex decision.

   Third-party games: playnex organises communities and competitions around third-party games. playnex is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by their publishers (including Krafton, Inc.). All game titles, marks and assets belong to their respective owners, and you must comply with each game's own terms of service.

    Your content: You retain ownership of the content you submit (screenshots, profile data) and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store and display it solely to operate the Platform. The license ends when your content or account is deleted, except where retention is required by law.

11. 11

    Your data: We collect and use your data only to operate playnex, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. On account deletion, your personal data is permanently removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

    Intellectual property: The contents of the Platform are proprietary to us or licensed to us. Unauthorized use of the Platform or its contents may lead to action under these Terms and applicable law.

    Termination & deletion: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may request permanent account deletion at any time from the app's Settings page; on termination or deletion, accumulated points are forfeited.

    Disclaimer: The Platform and Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Your use of the Platform is at your own discretion; we are not liable for interrupted services or failures caused by third-party platforms.

15. 15

    Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to INR 1,000 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is higher.

    Indemnity: You shall indemnify and hold harmless the Platform Owner and its officers, agents, and employees from any claim, demand, or action (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the Platform.

17. 17

    Force majeure: Neither party shall be liable for any failure to perform an obligation under these Terms if performance is prevented or delayed by a force majeure event.

18. 18

    Governing law: These Terms, and any dispute or claim relating to them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

19. 19

    Jurisdiction: All disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Patna, Bihar.
